Apple iOS 19 beta reveals upcoming devices

A glimpse into Apple’s future devices

An anonymous user has obtained a device with an early internal build of iOS 19 (version 23A5234w), which is older than the first developer beta. This build has provided insights into a list of products currently under development by Apple.

Home devices and accessories

The list includes new home devices like the Apple TV, AirTag 2, and Apple Studio Display 2. Additionally, Apple is working on a HomePod mini 2 and smart accessories, including two types of hubs (with and without a base) and a mysterious gadget rumored to be a home camera.

Upcoming Mac models

The iOS 19 beta hints at several upcoming Mac models. These include the Mac Studio featuring M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips, a budget-friendly MacBook powered by an A18 Pro chip, and new versions of MacBook Air and MacBook Pro equipped with M5 and M6 series chips.

New iPhones and iPads

The list of new devices also features iPhone 17e, iPhone Air 2, iPhone 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max, along with a foldable iPhone. On the iPad front, an iPad 12 and an iPad Air powered by the M4 chip are in development.

Wearables: Glasses and watches

In the wearables category, Apple is developing a budget version of the second-generation Vision Pro, a Vision Air headset, AI-powered smart glasses akin to Meta’s Ray-Ban, Watch Series 12, and Watch Ultra 4. The beta mentions two AR glasses prototypes, but reports suggest they might have been discontinued or paused.

Chips and technology advancements

Beyond devices, the beta also revealed future chip names. Aside from the expected M5 Pro, Max, and Ultra, there are mentions of M6, A20/A20 Pro, S11, and a new ultra-wideband U3 chip.

While the beta is quite old, and some data might be outdated, it provides an exciting preview of what Apple might bring to the market in the coming years.
